Order Portugal good for the Soul here
I first wrote about Portugal in 1996, but my first trip was in 1982 – at the age of twenty, which was the basis for my fictional book Waterwitch.
Sailing from Vilamoura past Olhao and onto Spain, I ask took a trip to Portimao. Even till this day I don’t how. A trip to the Four Seasons Club later in that decade reacquainted me with the wonderful Algarve. However, friends of mine living there, showed me the delights of Faro town, Santa Barbara and Loule
On my latest trip, I was impressed by The Blue Octopus and the restaurants of Loule with their wonderful food. On the same time as the UK and two and a half hours away, it is really worth a visit and you could read my book while you are there. Or, if you are trying to limit your carbon footprint and want an armchair experience, then, let the book take you there.
