The Virulent Virus has swept through England, a new plague. Recession has led to smugglers taking over most of the country while the rich are cowering in their gated communities. Against this backdrop, Aubrey East does a deal with a notorious smuggler, Terence Lawless. Afterwards, he goes for a swim with Freddie Lawless, the son. Aubrey comes out of the sea and Freddie does not. That is where Aubrey’s adventure begins. Forced to flee and desperate to clear his name, he enlists the help of Adel, Kate and Thomasina, confident and competent, but are they on his side or their own? Will they help or hinder him as he works to prove his innocence? Michael Fitzalan has been writing adventure stories since he was fourteen.
